What Is Microsclerotherapy?
Microsclerotherapy is a minimally invasive injection technique designed to treat unsightly veins. A medical-grade solution is injected directly into the affected veins, causing them to collapse and gradually fade from view. It is considered the most effective and gold-standard approach for removing thread veins and reticular veins on the legs and hands.
Step 1: Consultation
During your initial consultation, Frances will conduct a detailed assessment of your veins, medical history, and aesthetic goals. She will create a bespoke treatment plan tailored specifically for your needs, ensuring realistic expectations and an optimised outcome.
Step 2: The Treatment Process
Using fine, precise injection techniques, Frances will administer the sclerosing solution into the unwanted veins. The treatment is comfortable, quick, and highly targeted, allowing for minimal disruption to surrounding tissues.
Depending on the number and size of the veins, you may require a series of sessions to achieve optimal clearance.
Step 3: Aftercare
You’ll receive detailed post-treatment instructions to support healing and maximise your results. Compression stockings are often recommended to help the veins close properly and reduce the risk of complications. Mild redness, swelling, or bruising is normal and usually subsides within a few days.

How many sessions will I need to see results?
Most clients require 2–4 sessions, spaced several weeks apart, depending on the size, number, and severity of the veins. During your consultation, Frances will provide a bespoke treatment plan and realistic expectations based on your individual case.
Is it painful?
The procedure is generally very well tolerated. You may feel a slight pinching or stinging sensation during the injection, but it is brief. If you are particularly sensitive, Frances can adapt techniques to ensure your comfort throughout the session.
When will I see results after the treatment?
Treated veins typically begin to fade within 3–6 weeks, with continued improvement over the following months. Full results are usually seen after the treatment course is complete and the body has naturally absorbed the collapsed veins.
