How do lip fillers work?

Once you have discussed your lip requirements with your practitioner during your consultation, we will book an appointment for you to receive your lip fillers. On the day, an anaesthetic cream will be applied to numb the area and the hyaluronic acid gel will be injected strategically into targeted areas of the lips and lip borders. This will soak up water underneath your skin to plump up your lips and you will be able to see the results straight away, although there may be a little swelling, redness or bruising immediately.

Any swelling should go down very quickly. Your lips should be enhanced and very natural looking. You might appear younger because of your treatment and it’s highly likely that you’ll feel happier about your appearance.
