How do PDO Threads work?
There are many options when it comes to dealing with the natural signs of ageing we all go through. Developments in this area have allowed for ingenious innovations, such as PDO Mono Threads.

Once you have talked with one of our experts and discussed any questions or concerns you may have, a local anaesthetic will be used to allow you to be comfortable during the treatment. This is the only form of anaesthetic which will be used during a treatment session, so you do not need to worry about a general anaesthetic and everything that comes with it.
There is no need for any large incisions to be made in your skin in order to insert the threads, but rather just a cannula is needed. Once the threads are inserted and attached to an anchoring point in the face or scalp the threads are pulled to produce a lifting effect on your skin.
Along with providing a physical lift to your skin, once the threads have been inserted into your skin they continue to help your skin by promoting the stimulation of collagen and neovascularization. This is because of the presence of PDO (polydioxanone), and the result of this means you can see improvements in skin elasticity, texture, fine lines and volume even after the threads have been inserted.
Step 1: Consultation

Step 2: During your treatment
Your treatment will be carried out by our experienced Doctor in a sterile environment. Local anaesthetic will be used meaning you won’t feel a thing during the treatment. Our Doctor will then start inserting the threads in the relevant areas of your face to combat sagging in the cheeks, eyebrows, jawline or chin. Your procedure will last about 45-60 mins.
Step 3: After the treatment
You should make a full recovery in 5-10 days following the insertion of PDO Mono Threads. There may be some swelling and bruising, however, everyone reacts differently to treatments. Your recovery is of paramount importance to us so we will take the time to discuss with you what you should expect and how best to complete your recovery and continue to see fantastic results from your skincare.

Do the threads need to be removed?
The threads will naturally break down over time and be absorbed by your body so there is no need to have them removed.
Will I be able to go on with my day after treatment?
