Radio Frequency Body Contouring treatment at Aesthetics Lab is an award-winning procedure that kills fat cells and tightens the skin at the same time using RF and Ultrasound technology simultaneously.

Treatment step-by-step

Step 1: Consultation

At Aesthetics Lab, your health and well being always come first. During your initial radiofrequency body contouring consultation at our aesthetic clinics in Belgravia and Primrose Hill, we will take a look through your medical history to be sure this is the right treatment for you. It also provides a great opportunity for you to ask us any questions you may have.

Step 2: During your treatment

Hydration is an essential aspect of radiofrequency body contouring. Be sure to drink plenty of water in the days before, on the day of, and on the days after your treatment. This will aid lymphatic drainage for optimum treatment results. Before the procedure begins, your qualified aesthetician will take photographs for your medical records, and help us chart your progress effectively. Once you are comfortable in one of our tranquil treatment rooms, a sanitised disposable grounding pad will be applied to your back or bottom. This will then be attached to the contouring machine to effectively transfer energy (heat) from the machine to the target tissue.

Step 3: After the treatment

Following your treatment, you are free to resume your day as normal. Be sure to drink plenty of water and enjoy 30 minutes of exercise to speed up metabolism and aid lymphatic drainage. Always follow additional aftercare advice, as provided to you by Aesthetics Lab.

Is radiofrequency body contouring comfortable?

Many clients find the radiofrequency body contouring treatment relaxing. The Elixis Elite machine has integrated cooling technology; the procedure should never feel painful nor will it burn you. Your aesthetician will monitor your progress carefully during the procedure, as well as your comfort levels.

How long should results last?

Following a complete treatment course, results should last for as long as you maintain a healthy lifestyle. Again, this varies from one individual to the next and depends on factors including diet, age and genetics. Top-up treatments may help to maintain results. We recommend you wait three months after the end of your course before booking a top-up. We also have a range of treatments, skin care products and healthy lifestyle coaching to help you maintain results.

How quickly should I see results?

This will depend on your body type, the area treated, and the results you’re looking for. Most people notice a visible and lasting improvement after 2 to 3 sessions.

How many RF body contouring treatments will I need to have?

Radiofrequency body contouring is not a one-off procedure. We typically recommend a course of six treatments, and you will begin after several treatments. Of course, everyone is different; your experienced aesthetician will undertake a thorough assessment during your consultation to prepare a personalised procedure plan.

  I recently had a facial at Aesthetics Lab, and I can say that without a doubt it was the best treatment I have ever received. From the consultation which was very thorough, in which we discussed each of my concerns in depth, to the facial itself, which was incredible. I have had many facials in the past and none of them have been of this high standard. I was then recommended some products which I purchased from the clinic and have been using ever since.   Emma and the aesthetics lab team are INCREDIBLE! I very rarely write reviews, but I am so happy with my experience with Emma, that I have to! I have recently been trying to explore how to optimise my skin. This is all new to me, so I was a bit hesitant and unsure going into the process. Unfortunately, I had a very bad experience at a different clinic with a facial-gone-wrong, and am dealing with ongoing acne as a result. Carolyn helped me with my initial consultation. She was very welcoming and empathetic to my situation, making me feel very comfortable. I had my first session the same day with Emma. I did a light treatment and the experience was fantastic. Emma immediately made me feel comfortable. She understood the concerns and hesitations that I had and was very patient answering my many questions. I felt very calm and could tell how experienced she was. I had such a great experience that I booked again and came back for my second treatment with Emma that same week. This time I got a hydra facial. It was again, a fantastic experience. I was so impressed with all of her knowledge on how the products work, her advice on what my skin might respond best to, and her understanding and empathy towards my situation.   I have recently finished a course of Laser Hair Removal with Aesthetics Lab and could not recommend it enough , from the moment I walked in the staff were so welcoming and professional. The clinic itself is accessible, modern and exceptionally clean.

I had 6 sessions targeting under my arms and legs which was painless and really effective with no redness or rashes which I have previously experienced when waxing, my only regret is I didn't visit sooner!!
